Think Upper Peninsula. Now think further North yet. You’re now in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Copper Country! And home to Pasty Central.

Congratulations to Charlie and our friends at Pasty Central for passing the 500,000 mark — the number of fresh hand-made Pasties shipped from Calumet in the heart of the Keweenaw.

Naturally, we at Picture Michigan edorse the enjoyment of a yummy hot Pasty. If you cannot make it to the Keweenaw for a fresh one, you can order them online at Pasty Central. And if you can make it to the Keweenaw, I recommend spending at least a week. You’ll barely scratch the surface!

The talent that graces the stage at the Van Singel Fine Arts Center continues to amaze me. This season’s production was an artistic take on the Dickens classic, A Christmas Carol.

A couple of exciting announcements.

The first, is a new product. Or more to the point, a new size to our already popular Signature Series Coffee Table Books. In addition to the 10×10 and 7×7 sizes, we are adding a compact 5×5 size to the choices. This new book is a great way to say thank you to your bridal party or a perfect gift for family.
