Think Upper Peninsula. Now think further North yet. You're now in the Keweenaw Peninsula. Copper Country! And home to Pasty Central.
Congratulations to Charlie and our friends at Pasty Central for passing the 500,000 mark -- the number of fresh hand-made Pasties shipped from Calumet in the heart of the Keweenaw.
Naturally, we at Picture Michigan edorse the enjoyment of a yummy hot Pasty. If you cannot make it to the Keweenaw for a fresh one, you can order them online at Pasty Central. And if you can make it to the Keweenaw, I recommend spending at least a week. You'll barely scratch the surface!
