Congratulations Chris & Crystal

"It's always nice seeing familiar faces," I said with a smile on my face.

I didn't say, "hi, I'm Jon, how ya doing?" when I first found Chris and the guys on his wedding day. (Yes, it was Crystal's wedding day too ... I'd never hear the end of THAT!) :)

We first met Chris in Chris's Wedding last summer. And this time around, Chris was in Chris's wedding. And if you've got a score card running, there was yet another Chris that gave away the Bride.

But anyway, there was an awesome celebration on Saturday in Lansing. By the end of the night at other weddings, we leave the party feeling like we're family. What a cool way to start the day, arriving at the ceremony location already feeling like family.

I wish there were enough invitations to have gone around for everybody within a 50 mile radius to party with us. The dance floor was never empty so there's no way everybody could have fit! The band was awesome. In fact, you wanna hear something funny? The guitarist was the member of another band that played a wedding from last summer.

Seems like we knew everybody there!

Okay, so here's the deal. If you have been involved in one of our past weddings, you have most likely seen the "sneak peak."

We're experimenting with something new here. Click the link for a slideshow of some more images from Chris & Crystal's wedding. It's the same as the secretly hidden OFFICIAL sneak peak.

A few things to note:

- turn up your speakers really loud
- you may have to install a browser plug-in from photodex ... no problem, it's painless
- it's nearly six minutes long, and when it's done, you'll wish it was longer
- have some tissue ready

Please let us know what you think!

Visitor Mail - Mackinac Bridge

Hi everybody!

2007 marks two significant milestones for Michigan! Picture Michigan turns 10 years old. And hopefully this landmark occasion does not overshadow the 50 years of the Mackinac Bridge.

Over the past ten years, Picture Michigan has received a constant flow of email from visitors and fans from around the globe. Today, we feature an email from Indiana, a question about the Picture Michigan February calendar Desktop Wallpaper, which features the Mackinac Bridge.

From: WCC
On your February picture you feature the "Mighty Mac". I have often wondered, are you looking north or south when you took this picture. Thanks.

This shot is facing north from Mackinaw City in front of the Historic Mackinac Point Lighthouse.

There are two popular viewing areas where tourists and locals take in the sites and views of the Bridge. From the Mackinaw City side, the Bridge is to the left. From St. Ignace, looking south, the Bridge is also to the left. From either side, the persective is similar.

Here are some other views of The Mackinac Bridge. Happy Birthday.
