This is the interactive place for news, updates and musings of Jon & Lu of Picture Michigan, and you. Welcome home and let your voice be heard!

Celebrating 12 years, Picture Michigan is the photography studio that creates the trends outside the box. Somewhere between art and science, the images expand the senses and emotions. Not just capturing the moments, but capturing the soul and artistry -- a story within the story.

We specialize in Wedding and Portraiture photography, focusing primarily in and around Grand Rapids and West Michigan. However, if we can point a camera at it, we probably do.

Another building burns in Grand Rapids
Thursday, February 28, 2008
This is a capture of the WOOD TV website this morning. Yet another historic structure burns to the ground. As I post this, it appears the building will be a total lost.

Here is the same building from last summer.

Homecoming for two sisters
Sunday, February 10, 2008
Our kids are growing up....

It's still sinking in that this past summer our two oldest daughters were sitting behind the wheel in driver's training. Yesterday, seeing them all dressed up and sending them off with their dates, we can't deny the beautiful young ladies they have become. Yesterday's occassion was TriUnity's homecoming.

Myranda and Cassidy embarrassed.

I guess they should have seen that coming. Dad wasn't going to let them off the hook without some kind of reaction!

TUCS vs. WMC
Saturday, February 09, 2008
It was a blowout, but a great game. Neither team conceded and played hard to the final tick.

Some highlights.

Happy Winter Homecoming everybody!

Snow and Coffee in Saugatuck
Monday, February 04, 2008
This past Saturday, a few of us took the journey into Saugatuck for some coffee and a prime parking spot.

This popular summer-resort beach town is most definitely open for business in the winter. It's very serene and placid with the snow and diminished crowds!
